CountyWide's AVC System
Countywide Drain Services Ltd.'s AVC sludge treatment and dewatering system has been successfully used to dewater sludge from septic tanks, grease traps, wastewater treatment plants and various types of industrial sludge.
WWTP Sludge:
- Primary SludgeDewatering of sludge is achieved by injecting polymer into the sludge as it is being pumped by the sludge pump or pressed through the cyclone of the Pump and Dosing Plant, either as a separate unit or a built in unit - into the Countywide Drain Services' AVC dewatering container. During this operation polymer amounts are adjusted to achieve the best sludge flocculation possible. As flocculation occurs the solids draw together and separate the water. Then the water flows through a special set of filter nets installed inside the AVC container and out of drain ports located on the side, or at the front of the container. Solids remain inside the container until the unit requires disposal.
- Large volume reduction - up to 90%
- High % of solids - normally 10 to 25%
- High COD and BOD5 reductions - up to 95%
- Mobility
- Large per hour dewatering capacity
- A well proven system
